What I Did For Lunch

Today we had our adopt-a-class holiday party at Rockdale academy. During this gift filled, sugar fueled event I decided to one up my luther-burger and go all out on the sweets. So, I decided to enjoy a super-terrific Datina Diego Desert Sandwich. Those of you who know Datina, while a gifted designer, she is far better at making me sugary treats. Today's cookies (scrumptious) and cupcakes (decadent), while good on their own, were much better combined. (Somewhere out there my doctor is cringing).

Perhaps We're Taking This a Little Too Far

I grew up watching Cookie Monster devour cookies, so I am saddened to see his diet being expanded to . . . wait for it . . . eggs. Lame.

Here's a snippet on it from (full article here)

HE HAS BEEN GOBBLING UP COOKIES ON SESAME STREET FOR YEARS, BUT THESE DAYS THE COOKIE MONSTER IS TURNING IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS FOR SOMETHING MORE NUTRITIOUS.

HICKMAN says: "eggs are economical, nutritious and good for you".
COOKIE MONSTER says: "what he said".

TEAMING WITH "THE GOOD EGG PROJECT" , THE LONGEST RUNNING CHILDREN'S PROGRAM IS LENDING THEIR SUPPORT IN A NATION WIDE CAMPAIGN, TO HELP TEACH THEIR YOUNG FANS TO EAT HEALTHIER.

HICKMAN says: "We are trying to educate people on where the eggs come from, and also to make sure people are eating good every day. Isn't that right cookie?
COOKIE MONSTER says: "Oh yeah, Good Egg Project very good project, eggs delicious.. numnumnum".

The next thing you know he'll be called the Omelet Monster . . . or perhaps he should actually be called the (Eggs) Benedict Monster as he has now become a traitor against all that is right and just.

The Dough Boy Challenge

Inspiration comes from many places, most importantly the refrigerated section of the local grocery store. Walking down the aisle I wondered, what would happen if you combined all those pretty blue rolls of doughs into a mammoth concoction . . . and so was birthed "The Dough Boy Challenge."

Duping accomplices into my plan, we created the Dough Boy:
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
  • Crescent Rolls
  • Various Cookies
  • Nutty Bars
  • Toaster Strudel
  • Homemade Marshmallow Fluff
  • Covered in Grand Biscuits
mmmmmmmmmmm. . . . . .

Thanks to those accomplices - Volker, Ski, Kaz, Nick, Wintrob, Tina, Adriane, & Brian
